Cindy's Bio:
When I joined UCSF in 2018, I brought with me over twelve years of administrative experience built on dedication, adaptability, and a strong commitment to supporting both patients and clinical teams. I began as a temporary Administrative Assistant and quickly adapted to the fast-paced, mission-driven environment of the institution. My organizational strengths and ability to connect with both patients and staff allowed me to excel early on and establish a solid foundation for my continued growth at UCSF.
In 2020, I stepped into the Lead Scheduler role, further deepening my understanding of operations and patient care coordination. Later that year, when the Supervisor position for Interventional Radiology opened, I applied with confidence, supported by my administrative background, leadership capabilities, and a genuine passion for ensuring that every patient who enters our department feels cared for, supported, and treated as if they were a member of my own family. My journey at UCSF has been shaped by growth, service, and a deep commitment to supporting the highest standards of patient care.
What advice would you give yourself early on in your career? To a woman entering your field today?
I would tell my younger self to always believe in yourself and embrace every challenge, even when it feels scary. To a woman entering this field today, I would give the same advice, trust your abilities, face obstacles with courage, and know that growth comes from stepping outside your comfort zone
